There WILL be a rehearsal on Mon 3 January 2005. Please note that it is at a different venue than normal rehearsals, it is at H1 Hall and the Loughborough Grammar School, just off the the Leicester Road in Loughborough. Click here for directions including maps.

Website udpates : May 04
There have been a few updates to the loughborough orchestra website. A few tweaks and changes to make the site a bit better as well as moving it to a new web server. If you have any comments, please email me si@loughboroughorchestra.org.uk as I welcome your ideas. This is not it for now, as during May I'll be adding more things to this site, so please please please keep coming back :-)

The Feb-Jun rehearsal schedule is now available, so any players please check when we are (and are not) rehearsing in the green room!
Concert was a success : Feb 04
The loughborough orchestra's concert on 7th Feb went fantastically well. Soloist Ruth Marriott played Elgar's Cello Concerto superbly and the orchestra complemented her well and concluded the concert well witht Vaughan William's London Symphony. 7 Feb is next concert : Jan 04
The loughborough orchestra's next concert is approaching fast, its starts at 7:30pm on 7th Feb at Emmanuel Church in Loughborough. The programme includes
o Symphionic Poem, 'Vltaba' from The Cycle 'Ma Vlast' - Bedrich Smetana
o Cello Concerto in E Minor, Opus 85 - Edward William Elgar (soloist is Ruth Marriott)
o A London Symphony - Ralph Vaughan Williams
Tickets are available from orchestra members or available on the day!

I have added some new pages to the site. The fun stuff page is beginning to take shape with some pictures, jokes, details on composers and some website links. There's still much more to follow here! I've also added a site map page and other small changes including some info about our conductor Liz Thomas and an old concert review I found on the internet!

The Loughborough Website has a brand new website address www.loughboroughorchestra.org.uk. If you have this website in your favourites folder, then change it to this new address. The old address will still work but the new address sounds a lot better! The contact email address has also changed, email contact@loughboroughorchestra.org.uk or goto the contact page for more details.
